Santa Cruz County Students Win Big at Both ISEF and CA State Science Fair
Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania - With the generous support of Seagate Technology, the Santa Cruz County Science & Engineering Fair provides the opportunity for the top High School project in our County to compete at the annual International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF).
May 11-15, 2015, Connor Lydon & Natalie Gallagher from San Lorenzo Valley High School represented our County at ISEF. They competed against over 1700 finalists from 75 countries around the world for approximately $4 million in prizes. Connor & Natalie received a Second Place Award of $1,000 from the American Meteorological Society.
Los Angeles, California - Each year, the Santa Cruz County Science & Engineering Fair provides the opportunity for local students to compete at the California State Science Fair in Los Angeles, CA.
On May 18-19, 34 students from schools across Santa Cruz County (Grades 6-12) competed against over 1,000 other students throughout California in this annual statewide scholastic competition.
Santa Cruz County students won 1 Second Place Award, 1 Third Place Award, 3 Fourth Place Awards, and 9 Honorable Mention Awards. See below for details on each project and a link to the students' official project abstracts.
